QB Maps Powered by Google Maps!

QB Maps QB Maps is a premium utility that allows you to integrate your QuickBase data with Google Maps.  You can query your QuickBase data to retrieve multiple locations and plot them on 1 Google Map.  Then click on a thumbnail on the Google Map to see more information for that location which you have stored in your QuickBase tables. You can also include a link in the popup to point back to your QuickBase record.

Driving Directions and Locations List - see a list of all locations plotted on the map, click on a location in the list to go directly to that pin on the map! Want Driving Directions? Click on a location, enter or copy/paste a destination address and get Driving Directions, you can print them as well!

Show only Properties surrounding a specific client (in this example the radius is 10 miles). Click a Property pushpin and notice the distance from the client. Click here

Show different information from your QuickBase tables in the push pin Pop-up window for each table, click the pushpins in the maps in the previous examples to see varying information. Client pins show data from the Clients table, Property pins show data from the Properties table.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quick Base often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quick Base finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quick Base needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
