Hello, I’m working in a project that requires printing a report from Quickbase but instead of printing the report with all the information, we want to have the availability of printing page breaks based on the group by sort function of the QuickBase report, aside from that we want to have the capability to customize the graphics printed, I read a little bit on QB Exact Forms but it seems that it can be done only per QB record, I understand that we can create a view for every item but when you have 1000+ items it becomes impossible. 

Based on the above, is this something that Exact Forms PLUS! can do? Or are there any other alternatives to accomplish this request that you can offer? Please advice.

Yes, we can generate multiple documents in a single button click.  So you don't have to click the create document button for each record.  The design of you application also determines the feasibilty of this type of processing.  For example in this demo there are multiple Puchase Orders for a Project.  To create each PO document you can edit each PO record one by one and click the create doc button OR you can edit the project record and click create PO documents once and it will perform the same function as if you clicked the button for each individual PO record.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quick Base often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quick Base finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quick Base needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
