Mail Server Settings

The First Option (Preferred): Use this option to send the emails via your own mail server. This is the best option for us to send emails with Courier. It will provide the best chance of them NOT being flagged by the recipient as spam. You will also need to ensure that your account is set up to allow Juiced to send emails from your mail server. You will need to provide us with your server name, user name, password and mail port. We can send from Gmail, Office365 or from your private email provider as long as you provide us with the proper information to do so.

The Second Option: Use this option to send with a specific email address or an email address from the Quick Base record, however, the way the email will go out will look very different to the recipient. The email will have a message that says "sent out on behalf of" So, if you are sending out emails from "test@acme.com", you will see something like this in the "from" line: "test=acme.com@quickbasetools.com on behalf of test@acme.com". While this email seems a little different than normal and has the customers email address within it i.e. "test@acme.com" it does pose some potential issues on the recipient s end where it could get sent to a junk or spam folder. Note: As in the first option, the "reply to" will work as well.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
