Interact with your QuickBase data from a text message or email.
||Text My QuickBase is a premium utility that we've developed to allow access to QuickBase data just by sending a text message! (or email message)
text INFO to firstname.lastname@example.org
Here are some highlights of Text My QuickBase
- This tool DOES NOT require any components to be downloaded and installed on your mobile device or pc.
- You can send a text message or email message to trigger our tool to perform some action against your QuickBase data.
- You can track the message requests and responses. Take a look at the Texts table "List All" report. We log the text/email activity in this table.
Demo it for yourself...send a text message (or an email) to email@example.com. In the body of the message include the word "info" (without the quotes). You should receive a message back in a few seconds.
Put in your own Keyword and message and try it again. Add a new record in the Text Keywords table, include a message and then send a text/email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your new keyword in the body of the message. take a look at the Texts table and see that request logged as a new record.
Where did that message come from? ...From the Text Keywords table. Click the "List All" report from that table and you'll see a record with the keyword value of "info". The message you received was retrieved from the "Message" field on this table. Now take a look at the Texts table, "List All", and you should see your request in there as well.
This is a very basic DEMO. We will work with you to configure a script to retrieve data from your application based on your keywords and filtering criteria for each. Each keyword can trigger one or more QuickBase calls to get, update, delete and/or insert data into one or more tables.
**Want more? How about returning a clients outstanding balance which is a summary field on the Clients table? Use a special keyword followed by the client key field and see what comes back. Look at the tables and see where the data is coming from.
text or email custbal:abc to email@example.com (all lower case as this is case sensitive!)
